Who/What is Bacon Grease?

Bacon grease is a band that started with three members, JJ Street, Christopher Marcellus, and Jared Michael Cline. Today they are known as Bacon Grease Trio, as Bacon Grease in whole is a collective of other musicians local to Wilmington. Key members would include Donti Mcquillan on Keyboards. Federico "RICO" Santana on congas and auxiliary percussion. Sean Meade on Saxophones. And Marlon Mosby on trumpet. Past members and associates include: Joel Lamb(keys), Garrett Doughton(Electric guitar), Michael Polansky(Pedal-steel guitar), and Kenna Rock(vocals). Occasionally close friends are invited to participate with Bacon Grease at a performace.

How do I Find out where Bacon Grease will be performing?

If you click on the "shows" link to the left of this text, you can see the calendar schedule for the entirety of the year. Bacon Grease shows are labeled as Bacon Grease Full Band or Bacon Grease Trio. You will have to click the date on the calendar to see the time and location of the performance. What kind of music does Bacon Grease play?

Bacon Grease is not a band playing any specific genre or style of music. We try to provide an eclectic mix of music that is familiar to different people in the audience at different times. 

Can I book/hire bacon grease to do an event or play in my venue?

We are always welcoming opportunities to perform in as many places as we can that make sense for both us and those that want to hire us. If you do want to hire us, you can use the link that says "booking" to the left of this text.

If I hire Bacon Grease to do my event or play my venue, what can I expect?

You can expect a very professional group of men that will work diligently to provide you the entertainment you are looking for. You can expect a band that engages your audience and executes each song with precision and candor. You can expect an early arrival to make sure everything is in place and functioning, and a clean performance area when we leave. We are professionals at every level of what we do, and we aim to allow that to shine through not only the entertainment we provide, but how we engage with you, the client, and your audience.

What kind of event does Bacon Grease do?

bacon grease will do any event you have in mind, whether its a backyard Birthday party, Wedding or Wedding Reception(package deals available), Corporate event, Retirement celebration, Celebration of life, block party, cookout, bar mitzvah, etc. We will communicate with you to understand your needs and desires.

Do you have a song list posted anywhere?

Unfortunately, no, we do not have a song list posted. Our aim is to be a band built around the live experience itself and not the songs we choose to execute that. however, we have carefully vetted our song list to be one that will reach every type of personality in the every audience/crowd.

how much does it cost to book Bacon Grease?

Our pricing will depend on the type(s) of events/venues that are interested in booking us. Here some baseline prices for hiring the band.

-Private Event(non-wedding) 3 hours Max

--Bacon Grease Trio - $1500

--Bacon Grease Full Band (up to 7 pieces, no less than 5) -$2500-$3000 

-(Local) wedding and/or wedding reception - 

*if your event requires travel outside of Wilmington/Leland/Southport, it will affect pricing, based on distance and if it requires accommodations. 

--Bacon Grease Trio - $2000

--Bacon Grease Full Band - $3000-$4000

---Package deal* - $5000

------*This deal includes a solo guitarist singer for your ceremony and/or cocktail as well as your reception. You can also request for classical guitar during your ceremony for an additional $200. 

-Non-Ticketed Entertainment venues(built in crowd) 3 hours max

Does bacon grease have merchandise for sale?

bacon grease currently has t shirts for sale at $25 each and matching Koozies for $5 and will be adding more merchandise items as time moves forward. These shirts can be purchased at any of our live events.

Do you have social media?

Bacon grease does not have any general social media presence, however you can find us on YouTube as "The official Bacon Grease" where we will be posting shorts from different performances we have had over the years.
